61-12. Fire Permits Required and Exemptions

 

A.    Permits shall be obtained from the Fire Official having jurisdiction of the Fire District for any of those activities listed in N.J.A.C. 5:70-2.7 of the NJ Uniform Fire Code and any amendments, supplements and rules and regulations thereto. Fees for these permits must be collected before a permit can be issued 

B.    All nonprofit organizations, municipal government and religious organizations shall be exempt from permit fees. 

C.     The permit fees shall be established for: Type 1: $42, Type 2: $166, Type 3: $331, Type 4: $497

     (b) Where more than one life hazard use exists under one ownership at a given location, the highest life hazard use shall be registered at full fee and subsequent life hazard uses at one-half the scheduled fee.

  
 
   
 
 

     1. No public or private K-12 educational building shall pay more than one $ 166.00 life hazard use registration fee, regardless of the number or type of life hazard uses contained within the building.

  
 
   
 
 

     2. No camp accommodating six or more children of school age shall pay more than $ 148.00 life hazard use registration fee, regardless of the number or type of life hazard uses contained within the premises.

  
 
   
 
 

     3. Each life hazard use that is separately owned shall be registered at full fee.
